I was pleased to support both the Prostate Cancer Man Van and Macmillan Cancer events this week. The Prostate Cancer Man Van visited Newport, highlighting that widely accepted that men are do not respond to changes to their bodies and are slow in seeking medical advice. Successful treatment, particularly for cancers, is dependent upon early detection and diagnosis. I urge all men to take advantage of visiting the Prostrate Cancer Man Van when it is in their town or neighbourhood.
Macmillan Cancer provides a wide range of support services to those who are suffering from cancer and their families. Their “Counting the Costs campaign” seeks to keep the Welsh Government committed to the financial advice and support they outlined in their Cancer Delivery Plan.
