About William Graham

I hope you will find my website informative and that it highlights in a positive way my role in raising the issues that matter to you, that affect your family and your community.

Many of the services that have a direct impact upon your lives are devolved to the National Assembly. These include Education, Health, Social Services, Transport, Housing, Local Government, the Environment, The Economic Development and Regeneration, Heritage, Sport and the Welsh Language.

On your behalf I can raise the issues that are of concern to you; from providing you with information, writing on your behalf to those responsible for managing our services, asking questions to Assembly Ministers to assisting you to petition the Assembly to make the changes that will enhance the quality of your lives.

I am a long time campaigner on substance abuse issues, the preservation of our heritage and economic and social regeneration.

Elected to the National Assembly in 1999, I have been Party Spokesman for Local Government & Housing (1999 – 2003), Social Justice (2003 - 2004, Education (2004 – 2007) and Europe (2007 – 2010); Assembly Commissioner for Recourses (2007 – 2011). I am currently Shadow Minister for Social Services.

This website illustrates my record of representing you.

I have served as Assembly Member for the South Wales East Region. This covers the constituencies of Monmouth, Newport East, Newport West, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Islwyn, Caerphilly and Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney.

I can only effectively represent you if I am fully aware of the matters causing you concern. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you to allow me to speak out on your behalf.
