a media release issued on Wednesday 22 November 2006

William Graham AM (Conservative Assembly spokesman for Education) is appalled at the act of vandalism committed at Hillside Primary School, in Blaenavon.

“It is impossible to comprehend the actions of people who could not only urinate and excrete human waste within play area for children under 10 years of age, but to further endanger these children by breaking so many bottles”.

“There is no excuse for such callous actions, they showed little regard for the children safety”.

“Their totally disregarded of these children and their school work by breaking dozens of pots in which the children had planted flowers and vegetables”.

“I agree with Gwent Police that this is a ‘disgusting and worrying’ attack”.
