MINISTER MUST MAKE URGENT WRITTEN STATEMENT ON FERRARI

BAKERIES

a media release issued on 19th December 2006

William Graham (Conservative AM for South Wales East) responding to the news that Ferrari Bakeries have gone into liquidation:

“Andrew Davies Assembly Minister for Innovation, Enterprise and Networks must urgently issue a written statement on this matter”.

“These are jobs located in communities throughout South Wales, offering flexible employment to working mothers, in addition to supplying local businesses”.

“These are the companies that ‘Team Wales Captain - Andrew Davies’ all too often lets slip through his fingers. He must demonstrate that he fully understands the impact these losses will have, and act accordingly”.

“Labour Governments at Cardiff and London are failing to respond to the increasing pressures upon small companies and those who network throughout our communities.

“If the Welsh Economy is to rely upon service based industries for future economic development, the companies such as Ferrari must be seen to thrive”.
